Announcing New Podcast: SCRIPTED - A Tech Improv Podcast

After recording many early episodes, we are so happy to finally announce the launch of a brand-new podcast as part of our All Tomorrows podcast network!

SCRIPTED is a weekly podcast recorded out of Chicago, Illinois that brings together leading comedians and technologists to use comedy and improv to reshape how we talk about emerging technology and its future.

Public conversations about AI and emerging technology are increasingly dominated by extremes: utopian hype or existential fear. At the same time, important work in responsible and human-centered computing often remains confined to expert communities in tech, policy, and academia. Building a more human-centered technological future requires expanding who gets to participate in these conversations and how they are framed.

Comedy offers a unique way to build a more inclusive (and fun!) technology future by lowering the barriers to entry for everyday people to be a part of the conversation. In this show, we use comedy to invite curiosity, play, imagination, and nuance to complex and oftentimes heavy challenges in tech design and use. By pairing comedians with researchers, policy experts, and tech designers, the show creates a high-energy, accessible, and participatory space that invites broader audiences into nuanced discussions about technology’s social impact.

The goal is to open hearts and minds, invite a broader public into the conversation, and help shift technology narratives toward curiosity, imagination, and the kind of future we actually want to build.
